An 8-week education program deals with the challenges of caregiving and relevant topics such as dealing with difficult behaviour, accessing community resources, legal issues and care for the caregiver. The support of other caregivers is probably the most beneficial part of the program.
The Education Program is 2 hours a week for 8 weeks and requires registration. Cost is $25 to cover supplies and refreshments. Monthly drop-in sessions are offered to provide ongoing support. Delta Hospice offers meeting space and registration while the Caregiver’s Network facilitators provide the program. For more information or registration, call Delta Hospice at 604-948-0660.

Community Partners
Delta Hospice is linked to the community through its many volunteers - men and women who give of their time, skills and resources to support families in our community.
The Society has been able to exist and expand due to the many businesses, service clubs and churches that have continually contributed financially as well as helping with public awareness and fundraising initiatives. Their generosity is what has helped to sustain this organization.
Delta Hospice is dependent upon the many service agencies that refer to and take referrals from us, and has an excellent working relationship with many community groups.
Fraser Health Authority
The Delta Hospice Society has participated as a partner of the Delta Hospice Palliative Care Team since its beginning. Our team of counselors, staff and volunteers work closely with the Fraser Health Team of nurses, doctors and community health workers.
Each partner has an important and distinct role, and together, we continue to improve our capacity to meet the needs of patients, families and our community.

BC Gaming
BC Gaming provides a generous grant annually for Delta Hospice Society programs. Funds are approved annually once an application is submitted. Funds are granted based on need, annual operating budget, program outcomes, and must meet specific criteria established by the BC Gaming Commission.
Corporation of Delta
The Corporation of Delta provided a grant in the start up years of the society to show they value the society’s contribution to the community. They have supported our fundraising initiatives by offering space in the Municipal Hall and have given their full support to the Society’s vision to build and operate a permanent Supportive Care Centre and Hospice Residence.
