We, at the Delta Hospice Society, understand that dealing with life-threatening illnesses or conditions are challenging and the current COVID-19 pandemic only adds to this challenge. If you would like support, please consider reaching out to one of the following organizations.
INSPIREHEALTH is a not-for-profit supportive cancer care organization approved by the BC Ministry of Health. Since 1997, it has provided programs and services to enhance quality of life, health and well-being of people living with cancer and their families. Its cancer rehabilitation services support and educate people during and after cancer treatment. It offers practical and personalized exercise therapy, stress management, nutrition and counselling services.
Due to the COVID-19 situation all classes, programs, and one-on-one consultations are offered on phone or via secure video conferencing. For more information, go to its website at www.inspirehealth.ca where you can also sign up for an online class or book a one-on-one consultation.
BC CANCER Supportive Cancer Care Services continue to function through the COVID-19 pandemic, however, at this time, most GROUP programs have been suspended. They are working to create online alternatives to some group programs. One-on-one counselling is being offered by telephone or video. Website: www.bccancer.bc.ca
