South Delta Caregivers Network
The South Delta Caregivers Network is an independent group that runs out of the Centre for Supportive Care.
Who are we?
We are volunteers who offer education and support groups to caregivers in the community.
Who is a caregiver?
A caregiver is anyone who provides unpaid care and support at home, in a care facility, or in the community, to an adult family member or friend who is frail, elderly, chronically ill, or has a disability.
What do we do?
Caring for another person can be exhausting and sometimes overwhelming. Taking time out for personal support helps caregivers maintain their own well-being as they look after a family member or friend. The purpose of the South Delta Caregivers Network is to offer family caregivers emotional support, practical information and referral to appropriate resources.
Where are we?
Our education and support group meetings are held at the Centre for Supportive Care, 4631 Clarence Taylor Crescent, Delta, B.C.
When is the next Education Series?
Call the Centre for Supportive Care for more information on the next education series. They are held once a week for 6 weeks for 2 hours. The fee is $40.00.
